Tryouts for the Cedar Springs High School Jazz Band take place in the fall. The Jazz Band performs in several concerts during the school year, culminating in a Spring Jazz Show. They also perform an annual original Jazz Musical, which combines the elements of music and drama.
The CSHS Jazz Band meets after school, but still receives high school credit. They are under the direction of Mr. Robert Robuck.
