Cedar Springs Music Boosters

The Cedar Springs Music Boosters is an organization comprised of band parents, alumni, community members and directors. Our purpose is to provide support for vocal and instrumental music programs in the Cedar Springs Public Schools. We provide moral, logistical and financial support through volunteer efforts.

Officers are elected annually and are required to be parents of current music students. Membership includes all parents of music students and is open to alumni, faculty and community members who wish to support our programs.

Music Booster Meetings

The Boosters meet monthly to discuss issues relating to the music programs including band camp, uniforms, budget, fundraisers, transportation, equipment needs as well as upcoming performances, trips and the Red Flannel Marching Band Invitational.

The Boosters meet on the third Monday of every month at 7:00 PM in the high school choir room. Meetings are open to the public and all parents of band students are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Volunteer Sign-Ups

Volunteer sign-up sheets for helping with uniform fittings, working fall concessions, chaperoning the band on Friday nights and at competitions, Red Flannel Day and many other opportunities will be available during every Monday night full-band rehearsal, uniform fitting day, and band camp.  We expect every high school band parent to volunteer at least two hours of their time to help out during the upcoming marching season.  Parents of next year’s 7th and 8th grade students are also encouraged to volunteer, especially in the concession stand and on Red Flannel Day.  Many of the coveted concession positions will fill up fast, so please sign up early to get the best times to volunteer!  You may also call Elizabeth Marckini at 696-8416 to schedule a time to work.

Volunteering for the band program is a very rewarding experience.  You have the opportunity to meet many of your child’s friends in band along with many other band parents.

Thank You

Thank you to the many volunteers who have helped out over the past year from working concessions to sewing to chaperoning.  Your efforts are appreciated very much!
