Ice Cream Social Band students and their families are invited to attend an ice cream social on July 20 at 8:30pm. This event will take place at the High School after the students' rehearsal.
Cedar Springs High School Marching Band Presents their Fall Marching Show The CSHS Marching Band cordially invites the community to attend a preview of this fall’s marching show at a free performance upon conclusion of band camp on Friday, July 31 at 6:30 p.m. at Red Hawk Stadium. The 114-member marching band will be working hard on their fall marching show during band camp week at the end of July. The name of the show is "Chasing Shadows" and will feature classic music written by Bach and Bartok.

On Saturdays in January and February, over sixty thousand band and orchestra students attended their district Solo and Ensemble Festivals. If they received a Division 1 rating at this festival, they were eligible for State Festival. On Saturday, March 28, 2009, over eleven thousand students performed for a judge at State Solo and Ensemble Festival held at six sites throughout the state. Each judge was allowed to nominate one performance that they deemed worthy of further recognition. Three-hundred and ten performances were nominated and sent a digital audition to the state office of the Michigan State Band and Orchestra Association. For two days a week, a group of respected high school music educators from around the state met in Okemos, Michigan to listen and adjudicate these performances. On Saturday, May 9, 2009, the Cedar Springs High School Percussion Ensemble under the direction of Robert Robuck will be performing at the Annual Michigan Youth Arts Festival in Kalamazoo, MI. This ensemble is one of only eleven events chosen to perform. Members include: Tyler Blanchard, Nick Bonarski, Madalyn Bueche, Audrey Carlstrom, Roshanah Cole, Julia Gunneson, Spencer Hopkins, Jessica Klco, Mandi Moore, Kenneth Neville, Jeff Plank, Jordan Sagorski, and Charlene Sommer. Jazz Band Mystery Theater! Thank you all who participated in the Jazz in the Off-ing Mystery Dinner Theater. CD's are now available for the low price of just $5.00. There is a sign-up sheet in the band hallway to reserve one, or please call Band Booster President, Beth Blades, at 696-4230.
MSBOA District 7 Solo and Ensemble Congratulations to all students who performed on Saturday, January 31 at Grant Middle School. Ten events earned a First Division rating and eight events earned a Second Division rating. Those students who earned a First division rating now have the opportunity to perform again at the State Solo and Ensemble on Saturday, March 28.
