MCBA State Finals Congratulations to the Cedar Springs Marching Band for their placement in the State Finals at Ford Field! If you haven't seen them yet, the pictures that were taken by Jolesch Photography have now been posted on their website. These pictures are available for viewing and then to purchase if you find any that you like. Click here for pictures. You can also go to: www.jolesch.com, select "marching bands" and then choose the "MCBA Championships 2009". To see only pictures of our school, select "Cedar Springs". A Note from the Director... Congratulations to everyone associated with the Cedar Springs Marching Band this past Saturday at the Jenison Invitational! What a spectacular day and performance as we stepped into our first MCBA performance in almost ten years! We had a GREAT performance as we placed 4th out of 6 bands in our flight with a score of 72.2. I went into yesterday hoping for a score higher than 65, so needless to say, I'm a very happy and proud director right now!
As it stands from this past weekends performance, Cedar Springs stands in 4TH PLACE out of 17 bands in our flight (or class) - which is incredible! Check out more of the scores and how the scoring works at the site- - www.themcba.org- - this is where we keep track of our placements and find out if we are in the top ten of the state to go to Ford Field on November 7.

Rockford MCBA Invitational Congratulations to the CS Marching Band for placing second at the Rockford Invitational on September 19! The results were as follows:

Michigan Competing Band Association The
Cedar Springs High School Marching Band is competing in the
MCBA Flight III. Their top two scores from the three MCBA
competitions will count towards qualifying for the state finals to
be held at Ford Field on Saturday, November 7th (These scores
are averaged together.). The ten bands with the highest
averages from each of the four flights are notified on Sunday, November
1st that they have qualified for state finals. Flight III
